Who’s Who?

Church Minister

Andy

I am the minister of the church and work alongside my wife Lauren. We moved to Harrogate in 2018 after ministering in Malvern, Worcestershire and working alongside Elim Headquarters and Regents Theological College. We have two girls, Elsie & Mikayla, who both keep us on our toes… and awake! We love days out in Harrogate, board games with friends, and nights in together with the TV and a take-away.

Church Elders

Debs

I have been part of the Harrogate Elim church family since 2002, aside from the 6 years spent in Malvern at Elim HQ and college.  I love to bring my grandsons to church – one day my kids may come too!  I love to make stuff, and love cookbooks.  I love the countryside, good long walks, and spending quality time with friends and family… and a good strong cup of Yorkshire tea! But one of my favourite things is to sing – especially as part of the worship team in church.

Pete

I have been part of Harrogate Elim Church for many years along with my wife Heather. We have two grown up sons, Matt and Dan who live in West Yorkshire. I have a long background in Primary Education as a teacher and Headteacher. More recently I have been working at York St John University, as part of initial teacher training programmes. I enjoy making things from wood and all things DIY and I really value time with family and friends. One of my greatest passions is music, especially playing the guitar, song writing and recording. I love to join others in music led praise and worship and it is a privilege to be part of the church worship team. In this it is great to help others to engage as a regular and significant part of our times together at church.

Sue

I originally came to Elim Harrogate as a Theology student on placement. Which ended in the spring that year. We then came back to church in the Sept, and never left! I’m married to Danny. We have 5 children, 5 grand children, and our Golden Retriever, Arlo. Originally from the edge of the Lakes, my heart is home when I’m on the A66 and getting closer to familiar ground – such as Borrowdale. When we can, we love to hit the road in our Camper Van. I work part time as an IT Trainer for the NHS, and part time as a Spiritual Director. My husband and I have been in worship bands since we were 17. So it’s a joy that worship is one of the things I’m involved in. Here at Elim, Harrogate.
