Andy is the minister of the church and works alongside his wife Lauren. They moved to Harrogate in 2018 after ministering in Malvern, Worcestershire and working alongside Elim Headquarters and Regents Theological College. They love days out in Harrogate, board games with friends, and nights in together with the TV and a take-away.
Liz is an Elder and Bible study group leader. She has been married to Geoff for 41+ years, has 3 lovely daughters & sons-in-law and 6 beloved grandchildren! She is a former SRN, and completed Elim’s Regional Training Course in Applied Theology in 2007. Liz likes shellfish, olives and mushrooms. She’s happy to handle snakes and things with under 5 legs! And is competent at bottle feeding two babies at once!
Malcolm is married to Susan, he has two sons, five Grandchildren and three Great Grandchildren. Malcolm had a 36 years career in the Royal Air Force and came to Harrogate in 1987. Having played rugby from his school days he retired from the game in his late 30s while in Cyprus and now enjoys walking, weather permitting. Malcolm and Susan are active in the voluntary sector and have been the church representatives at the Harrogate Food Bank since it’s inception in April 2013.
Pam has been a deacon for 4 years, so she knows the church well! When she’s not spending time with her 5 children, 9 grandchildren or 4 great grandchildren; her hobbies include gardening, knitting and walking. Her dream day out would be a long walk out by the river – she’s a real country gal at heart! Pam loves to get involved in charity work and volunteers often for various charities. She is also in the know about the finer things in life, as she worked at Betty’s for over 25 years! Afternoon Tea at Pam’s then, anyone!?
Debs has been part of the Harrogate Elim church family since 2002, aside from the 6 years spent in Malvern at Elim HQ and college. She loves to bring her grandsons to church – one day her kids may come too! Debs loves to make stuff, and loves cookbooks. She, like Pam, also loves the countryside, good long walks, and spending quality time with friends and family. … and a good strong cup of Yorkshire tea! But one of her favourite things is to sing – especially as part of the worship team in church.
